A 60-year-old herbalist, Tajudeen Awoniyi, is now in the police cell
in Ibadan, Oyo State for allegedly defiling his two daughters and two
nieces.
Awoniyi was arrested at Akinyele area of Ibadan for reportedly
defiling his two teenage daughters, Barakat and Sefiat.
The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Katsina, said Awoniyi was
arrested after sleeping with his nieces, who passed a night in his
apartment.
It was alleged that Awoniyi gave black soap to the teenage
girls around 1am which they used to bathe on the day the crime was
committed.
He thereafter slept with them separately. Katsina added that
the mother, Jelilat Olayiwola, 35, who had travelled to Lagos on the day
the crime was committed, called the police after she discovered that
her daughters were behaving abnormally.
