Kidnapping: High Court sentences man to death



Akwa Ibom State High Court 2, Abak Judicial Division, has sentenced a middle aged man to death for kidnapping.
Hon. Justice Iniabasi Udobong said that Robinson Offiong should be hanged until certified dead, for kidnapping Mfon John Tim, on June 2, 2014, at Itung Abak, Abak Local Government Area.

EFCC Docks Suspected Payroll Fraudsters for N293m Fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 arraigned nine suspected payroll fraudsters before Justice Peter Kekemeke of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Apo, Abuja, on a 16-count charge of conspiracy and stealing to the tune of N293million.

Nine Customs officers arrested, smugglers held over N1.35bn bullet proof vehicles


The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operation Units, has arrested nine of its officers in connection with some goods illegally released at ports.
This was even as the Unit disclosed that it arrested six smugglers over N1.35 billion, 59 vehicles and other contrabands in the last one month.
