South African based armed robber killed* 4 AK47 rifles found in ceiling

The Lagos State Police Command has killed a South African based suspected armed robber and also arrested his elder brother who is a pastor.
According to Police, the suspect, named Confidence, used to rob in Nigeria and relocate to South Africa, where he was actually based.
The police allegedly shot and killed Confidence after he took to his heels at the sight of police, rather than surrendered.
When the apartment where he was staying was searched, four AK47 rifles were found inside the ceiling. The police also recovered four cars: Two Camry cars, one End of Discussion and a Mercedes Jeep.

Confidence was said to have robbed with the likes of Godogodo and Goke, known in the underworld and police circles as notorious robbers.
It was gathered that after the arrest of Godogodo and Goke, they had both mentioned the name of Confidence during interrogation. Since then, SARS operatives had been hunting for him.
It was also heard that SARS men tried all the venues that his partners in crime mentioned as likely places to find Confidence, but all attempts were futile.
SARS operatives finally decided to catch him, using his lover, Chinelo.
Police trailed Chinelo and finally arrested her. She opened up to them. She told them that Confidence travalled to South Africa six months earlier.
The anti-robbery detectives kept Chinelo under their custody and used her to monitor the movement of Confidence. Whenever Confidence called her, the police would listen on the conversation. Confidence had no idea that his lover was in police custody.
When police asked her to take them to Confidence home, she told them that she did not know his home, because they used to meet in hotels.
Police investigations finally yielded results after Confidence called Chinelo one day and told her that he was coming home for Xmas. Chinelo told him that she desperately needed some money to buy items for the forth coming Xmas.
Confidence asked her to go to his elder brother’s house at Baruwa Estate, Ipaja. That she should collect some money from the man, pending his return to Nigeria.
Ironically, Confidence elder brother is a pastor.
A team of SARS men followed Chinelo to Baruwa Estate, where they arrested Pastor. They however did not search the Pastor’s house.
When they reached SARS office at Command, Ikeja, Pastor repeatedly denied knowing the whereabouts of Confidence. It was gathered that Pastor finally carved in and confessed under the heat of interrogation.
He told them that Confidence was in his home when they came to arrest him.
Since Confidence apparently did not know that policemen whisked his brother away, police believed he was still at home.
SARS men went  back to the house. As soon as Confidence saw the policemen, he bolted. All shouts at him to halt, failed.
The police opened fire. The bullet got him and he died. The incident happened at about 5pm and the gun shot attracted the attention of the residents, who gathered.
When police searched his body, a pistol was found around the waist band of his trouser. The pistol had eight rounds of ammunition.
They also recovered a South Africa passport. Police believe that Confidence’s elder brother, used to rob with him.
