AIG takes over investigation of man chained to police van



The Nigeria Police Force Public C
omplaint Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) has initiated an investigation in order to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the police operations that led to the viral video showing a suspect handcuffed to a stationary police patrol vehicle in Benin-City, Edo State on Sunday.

The Public Compliant Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU), in the first quarter of 2017 i.e. January to March, has revealed that the Lagos State Police Command received the highest complaint against police personnel across federation.
This was even as the report states that complaint against police was on the decline.
