Bomb explosion injures two in Kano

PANDEMONIUM occurred at a fun spot in Badawa area in the ancient city of Kano State on Saturday when an explosive allegedly planted in the area went off,  injuring two people.
According to some residents of Agangara, the explosion also destroyed property which value could not be estimated as at the time of filing this report.
The suspected bombers, who escaped after the attack, allegedly planted the remote controll explosives inside the drinking joint earlier and later detonated them. Some residents claimed that three explosions were heard in the direction of the JTF check-point.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr Musa Daura, said in a text message sent to some newsmen in response to the attack, saying that no death was recorded in the attack which occurred around 9;30 p.m.
However, the spokesman of the Military-led Joint Task Force, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, told the Sunday Tribune that he was waiting  for details from the field officers before he could make official comment on the matter.
His word “we are tiding things, as soon as we are done, I will call you people,”
However, the insurgency in Kano has prompted house-to-house head count of residents by the state government.
Entitled “House Numbering and Street Naming Data Form,2013, all residents in the trouble town are expected to fill the form  and return same to the relevant authorities.
The two page document contains resident ’local government, village ,ward, house, name of house owner,tribe,religion,occupation,local council of origin and number of family members’
