THE Delta State Police Command has recommended a disciplinary action
against four policemen who allegedly aided the escape of some robbery
suspects from police custody in Asaba, recently.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikechukwu Aduba, told Saturday
Tribune, on Friday, the names of the men had been forwarded to the Force
Headquarters, Abuja, for necessary action.
The commissioner, who condemned the circumstances under which the
suspects escaped and the alleged role of the policemen, said no stone
would be left unturned to ensure that justice was done in the matter.
“I have forwarded their names to Abuja. You know, I don’t have the
power to dismiss them, so Abuja will decide on them,” he said.
