Abductors of CBN Governor’s wife, demand N100m



Detectives attached to the Edo State Police Command have launched investigation into the abduction of the Mrs. Margaret Emefiele, wife of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele and other five victims.

This was even as news filtered out today that the abductors have already made contact with Margaret’s family and are demanding N100million ransom.
Margaret was said to have been kidnapped along with four other women and a driver. They were abducted by the armed gunmen along Benin-Agbor Expressway.
Law enforcement agents believed the women were trailed.
It was further gathered the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Ibrahim Idris’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT) has been deployed, alongside other crack detectives of the Nigeria Police to rescue the victims and arrest the abductors.
