Mob chops off suspect’s hand for stealing TV

Angry youths yesterday descended on a thief for trying to steal a television set on Ibiam Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The man and his gang had succeeded in stealing a 58-inch Plasma television from a viewing centre in the neighbourhood.

The man was caught in the act while his gang members took to their heels. The angry residents chopped off his hand after beaten him thoroughly with all sorts of weapons.
