The gender unit department of Lagos State Command is
investigating a case of defilement reported against one Uchena Tony
Elumadu a resident of Martins Street, new Oko Oba, Agege Lagos.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect who is a
trader had different occasions raped the daughter after which he
usually administer drugs to prevent her from getting pregnant.
The 15 year old victim, a J.S.S 3 student while narrating
her ordeal to the police stated that the father on countless occasions
wakes her up in the middle of the night to rape her mostly when the
mother is on night duty.
The mother who is a casual worker in one of the outfits
attached to airport, on the night of 19/9/2016 discovered the suspect
having intercourse with the victim, an occurrence that made her raised
alarm.
The victim is currently admitted in the Police College
where she is receiving treatment in partnership with Mirabel centre
LASUTH where medical examination will be carried out on her while the
Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Owoseni has directed that the father
who admitted the rape on three occasions blaming the act on the devil be
charged to court as he also stated that the command will no longer
tolerate cases relating to domestic and sexual violence.
