Shopper reaches into a supermarket fridge for a yoghurt, pulls out 12ft snake

A shopper in South Africa was left with a severe case of the chills when she reached into a supermarket fridge - and ended up grabbing a twelve foot python.  

The woman's screams alerted manageress Martie Esnouf who ran to find the woman yelling 'SNAKE' as she pointed into the dairy section of the chiller.

The shocked manageress saw the African rock python curled up, seemingly fast asleep, among the yoghurts and milk cartons.

She immediately called for staff to help tackle the snoozy snake.
