Folashade was said to have been arrested after
operatives, stormed Flat 7B at 16, Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos last week,
recovered the foreign currencies totaling and also recovered some campaign
posters of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Sources alleged that the money was remnant of Jonathan
campaign funds.
It was gathered that available document showed that
Folashade is the owner of the flat.
The woman allegedly bought the flat under a business
enterprise known as Thabi Ventures Ltd.
The document further reveals Folashade email as folashadeoke@yahoo.com and phone
number 08059833410.
The NIA boss, Ayodele, allegedly showed up at the
EFCC’s office in Abuja after the arrest of his wife.
Everyone was astonished when Ayodele claimed that
the money belonged to the NIA. He further told the EFCC that the money was
meant for covert operation.
A source: “When the EFCC operatives entered the
flat, they also discovered campaign posters and flyers of former President
Goodluck Jonathan.”
It was also gathered that the EFCC is likely going
to quiz the former Aviation minister, Senator Stella Oduah, who was at a time
the Director of Administration and Finance for Jonathan’s campaign and also the
coordinator of the Neighbour to Neighbour campaign organisation that took much
credit for Jonathan’s 2011 Presidential election victory.
Another person of interest is Mr Godsday Orubebe, a
former Minister of Special Duties, who served as the Minister of Niger Delta
Affairs under Jonathan.
Also going to be invited for questioning is Alhaji
Adamu Mu’azu, a former governor of Bauchi State, who served as the National
