Police in Lagos have rescued a ninemonth- old baby boy who crawled into the road at Aro Shodiya Street, GRA, Ikeja.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, said the baby was sighted by policemen patrolling the area on Tuesday. He said: “if not for the quick-witted policemen who noticed and rescued the boy, it would have been only a matter of time before he was crushed to death by speeding vehicles.
Owoseni said that many vehicles had sped past the crawling baby, without noticing him.
The commissioner added that if the policemen had not also noticed and rescued the baby, ritual killers would have found the baby and probably snuffed out his life.
He said: “The toddler was crawling on the road, when a police patrol team rescued him from being hit by vehicles. Nobody has come forward to claim the child.
The baby is in our custody. We are taking good care of him. We want his parents to come forward to identify and claim him.
“We are appealing to parents to take care of their children. Some parents don’t care about their child or children, because of the prevailing economic situation in the country.
If not for the quick intervention of the police patrol team, some suspected ritual killers would pick and used him for something diabolical.”https://newtelegraphonline.com/nine-month-old-baby-found-crawling-road/
