GO keeps sister’s corpse in room for six years …she’s coming back, says GO

Homicide detectives attached Ajuwon Police Station, Ogun State, have arrested the General Overseer (GO) of  Glory of Deliverance Ministry for allegedly keeping the corpse of his younger his apartment for six years.
The GO, Oluwatomiyin Oluwatobiloba, 38, was arrested on Friday, along with another of his younger sister, identified as Elizabeth Oluwatobiloba. The policemen have retrieved the skeleton of the deceased from the apartment.
The deceased, Funmilayo Oluwatobiloba, died on July 30, 2010, after a brief illness. She was said to have been kept in the apartment without any medical assistance. She was also not buried.
Oluwatomiyin said: “I didn’t kill my sister. God sent her on errand. She’s coming back. I kept her skeleton inside my apartment because God told me she would be coming back. When she died, I didn’t feel bad because it was the same God that created me that sent her on errand; who am I to cry over her?”
The GO continued: “My late sister has been receiving God’s call before she left Ogbomosho in Oyo State for Lagos. The calls become frequent. God directed her to leave her tailoring work and concentrate on the evangelism. She devoted her time to the preaching. By July 2010, she fell sick because of the stress of the evangelism work. While she was sick, she received another call from God. He said he wanted to send her on errand. She didn’t know when she would return. My other sister, Elizabeth, also received the same message from God; he said Funmilayo would embark on a journey. God said we shouldn’t be afraid; that Funmilayo was coming back.”
Oluwatomiyin said that a week after Funmilayo fell sick, her condition deteriorated. The family however refused to take to hospital.
According to the GO, God said they shouldn’t take her to hospital. God allegedly further told them that her sickness doesn’t require medication that the Holy Spirit would take care of her.
Oluwatomiyin said: “She was sleeping on the chair when God took her away. When Elizabeth came home, we carried Funmilayo inside and laid her on the bed. We prayed for her mercy journey. We believe is coming back. God has told us so earlier.”
When asked if the stench from the corpse didn’t disturb their neighbours in the compound, Oluwatomiyin said God preserved Funmilayo. “Even when her body became bloated, my sister and I were never scared of her.”
The bizarre scene was discovered after the care taker of the house, Mr. Kamoru Adeyeye, where Oluwatomiyin lives, came to evict him for not paying rent. The skeleton was found inside Oluwatomiyin’s bedroom.
Adeyeye said: “He was single when he moved into the apartment eight years ago; he later brought his two sisters. He introduced himself as bricklayer when he came to rent the apartment. Two years later, I noticed he stopped going to work. He said he has been called by God to be a pastor. I didn’t disturb him, until the owner of the house said he wanted to convert his room and parlour apartment to self-contain, because of his inability to pay his house rent regularly.”
