The anti-drug Agency, said the development is a remarkable step by Nigeria aimed at enlarging its partnership coast in anti-drug abuse/trafficking sensitisation efforts.

“Using champions, advocates and goodwill ambassadors will help to fill the huge need for public education on the dangers of illicit drug production, trafficking and abuse.

Entertainment has a strong appeal particularly to youths. This is why we are using this medium in conveying our message to youths who are most vulnerable to drug abuse and trafficking” Giade said.

NDLEA Directors who spoke at the ceremony expressed their support for the partnership noting that the Agency cannot do it alone.

The Director General of the Agency, Otunba Femi Ajayi who made the presentation noted that drug control ambassadors are active champions of efforts against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking in Nigeria.
