BEAST: Man forcefully sleeps with a girl, posts her nude pictures on the internet for refusing his advances
A 30-year-old man, Olaniyan Oluwakayode, has allegedly raped a 20-year-old girl and posted her nude pictures on the social media. The Osun State-born suspect, it was gathered, carried out the dastardly act in his room at Ifako area of Lagos after forcing the girl into his apartment. Oluwakayode was later arrested by the police. The suspect was paraded yesterday before journalists at the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA).
Speaking with journalists at the ministry, the victim (name withheld) said Oluwakayode snapped her pictures despite pleas from his sister to desist from such barbaric act. The girl, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, said Oluwakayode was not her boyfriend as he claimed. She said:
“He is a guy that usually stops me anytime I am going to work. He said he wanted me to be his girlfriend but I told him I was not ready to give him a reply.
“I did not go to his house. On my way back from work on Tuesday last week, I saw someone run out of his house, because there is a bush around their compound. He jumped over the fence and gripped my hand and said he wanted to do what was on his mind. “So I asked him why he would do what was on his mind when I have not even accepted his advances. But he insisted he would do what was on his mind, so he dragged me inside the bush.
When I wanted to shout, he brought out a knife and threatened to kill me if I shouted. “So, from the bush, he dragged me to his house and locked the door. I tried all I could to open it but I could not because it is an iron door. He held my neck, tore my skirt, my pant and my bra. He beat every part of my body and slept with me. “He beat me and forced me to open my legs when I refused. He also held my neck so I couldn’t shout.”
According to her, she was only allowed to go after Oluwakayode’s sister came back around 9pm. She added: “His sister started to plead with him to let me go. “He has been asking me out for a long time. But I did not accept his offer of friendship because I have my own boyfriend.”
The victim said Oluwakayode only released her after his sister threatened to call their mother. But the suspect denied raping the victim, saying she was his girlfriend. He said: “I was fighting with my girlfriend but they are accusing me of raping her. I never denied the fact that I took her pictures when she was naked. We were fighting inside, but any other allegation levelled against me is a big lie.”
