Police arraign two for fraud, theft

The police have arraigned two men, Ayanda Kolawole and Tunde Sulaiman, separately before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for alleged fraud and theft.
While arraigning Kolawole, 42, the police said he attempted to defraud one Enudi Nelson Ifeanyi. He was arraigned on two counts bothering on stealing.

The charges read in part ‘’That you, Ayanda Kolawole, between August 26 and September 9, 2013 in Ikoyi, Lagos, did unlawfully obtain the sum of N2m from one Enudi Nelson Ifeanyi under the pretext of assisting him to procure France travelling visa…”
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate, Mr K.O. Ogundare, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000.
The case was adjourned till October 20 2014.
But Sulaiman, 25, was arraigned for the alleged theft of an American Audio C.D mixer valued N250,000, a property of one Mina Onojuwa.
The charge read in part, “That you, Tunde Sulaiman, on September 15, 2014 at about 6.00pm in Oyingbo, Lagos, in the Lagos State Magisterial District, did steal American Audio C.D mixer valued N250,000 of one Mina Onojuwa…”
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Ogunkanmi granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000.
The case was adjourned till October 21 2014.
