Outrage as militants abduct teachers, students in Lagos

Our schools are too porous –NUT, PTA

  • CP: Victims will be rescued soon
Gun-wielding kidnappers yesterday invaded Igbonla Senior and Junior Model Colleges in Epe, Lagos and abducted four students and two teachers.

The abduction was greeted with outrage as the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) and parents of the students decried the development.
The abduction came about seven months after three female students of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School, Ikorodu, were kidnapped by gunmen.
Yesterday, the kidnappers, who were said to be about seven, reportedly stormed the assembly hall of the junior students about 8a.m., shooting into different directions to scare away the students and their teachers before taking their victims into a waiting boat.
The abducted persons were the Vice-Principal, Mr. A. O. Oyesola, a teacher, Mr. Lateef Oyerinde, and the students – Adebisi Isaac and Okonkwo – among others.https://newtelegraphonline.com/outrage-militants-abduct-teachers-students-lagos/
