‘I needed money to travel for Christmas’

A suspect, who was arrested for armed robbery by operatives of the Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad (FSARS), Magbon, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has revealed that he was planning to quit after he had made N400, 000. 

The 23-year-old suspect, Jikoye Tochukwu, a commercial bus driver, was arrested along with Mbam Obinna, 29, a factory worker and Abdullahi Hamid, a commercial motorcyclist.
According to the detectives, the gang used to rob motorists and divert trucks loaded with goods on Ijebu-Ode Road. Revealing their modus operandi, police said that the gang used to place a log of wood on the road. Once a motorist sights the stick, he or she would halt. The person would step down to remove the log.
At that point, the suspects would jump out from their hidings, waving guns. They would later dispossess occupants of the car or truck of their valuables.https://newtelegraphonline.com/needed-money-travel-christmas/
