Two men held for defiling a nine, eight year old girls

 A 55-year-old man, Nosa Osadolor has pleaded not guilty to the lone charge of sexual molestation of a nine-year-old girl.

He was arraigned before the Ogba Magistrate Court, Lagos State yesterday for the alleged offence.

The defendant was said to have inserted his manhood into the victim’s vagina, an offence which contravenes and punishable under section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

The Prosecutor, Raphael Donny, said the defendant committed the crime on August 18, 2017 at Adedara Close Meiran area of the state.

The lone count charge levelled against the defendant reads; “That you Nisa Osadolor on August 18, 2017 at about 4:30pm at No. 5 Adedara Close Meiran, Lagos State in the Ikeja Magisterial District did unlawfully defiled nine-year-old Joke Iluku, by inserting your penis into her vagina and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

During the arraignment, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The presiding Magistrate, Davies Abegunde, however adjourned the case till October 6, 2017 to hear the defendant’s bail application.

Similarly, Seun Olugbebi was arraigned in the same court on one count charge of defiling an eight-year-old girl.

Olugbebi allegedly inserted his manhood into the vagina of the victim on September 3, 2017.

The Prosecutor, Clifford Ogu, said that the offence contravened and is punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

He added that the incident happened at Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State. The defendant pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him. Presiding Magistrate, T. Akani granted Olugbebi bail in the sum of N250, 000, with two sureties in like sum.  The case was adjourned till November 20, 2017.
