US man killed himself in maternity ward ONE HOUR after his wife gave birth to their child

The first picture has emerged of the Texas man who committed suicide in front of his wife in a maternity ward just one hour after she gave birth to their child.
In the photo, 32-year-old Michael Carl Nobles squeezes his wife Kendra close and smiles for the camera.
But Nobles' family said the expectant father had been 'distressed for some time,' prior to his wife going into labor on Sunday.

Police said the couple could be heard arguing inside Kendra Nobles' maternity room at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital before he pulled out a pistol and shot himself.
Nobles was flown to a nearby trauma hospital, where he died, KHOU-TV reports.
He committed suicide just one hour after his wife delivered the couple's child.

The baby was not in the room at the time.
Kendra Nobles was not injured.
Her Facebook page shows a picture of Kendra and Michael embracing and smiling. She also posted a picture of her ultrasound.
Kendra also posted a heart-breaking picture of her ultrasound online. This is the first glimpse of a baby who will never know its father

The hospital has a 'no guns policy,' but that did not prevent the man taking taking a pistol into the maternity ward.
The incident left some patients and their families questioning security at the hospital in northwest Houston.
'They should probably have more security if they’re going to let people in the institution like that,' Gustavo Manrique told the TV station.
Willowbrook Methodist Hospital, part of the city's Methodist Hospital System, has not commented on the suicide.
