Generator fume kills Father, 4 children

The people of Aroajakiri Village in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State have been thrown into deep mourning, following the death of five members.
The family of six was suspected to have been suffocated by fume from a generating set in their house.
Sources told Daily Newswatch that Sunday Nwafor, 40, and his three children and their House help,  were found dead in their house early Sunday morning while his wife was the only survivor.
The wife, who was reportedly unconscious, was said to have staggered out of the house, collapsed and started vomiting and was rushed  to hospital where she is currently receiving medical attention.
It was learnt that late Nwafor who resides in Maiduguri was on a visit to his family in the village. Sources said they had left their generating set over night.Witnesses said the generating set was found inside the house and it was being suspected that the family was wiped out by fume from the machine.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Abia State Police Command, Geoffrey Ogbonna, while confirming the incident, said the remains of the late Nwafors have been deposited at the Federal Medical Cebntre, Umuahia for autopsy while investigation into the incident was continuing.
