Three police
are still being quizzed over their alleged involvement in stealing and selling
of fuel belonging to government. They were alleged to have stolen the fuel at newly
constructed Bauchi International Airport.
The
Commissioner of Police, said that those found guilty will be dealt with, in
accordance with the rules of the force code, which says no erring officer will
go unpunished.
However, a senior Security personnel who pleaded anonymity, said:“The officers
who allegedly stole government fuel include one Inspector, a corporal and a
sergeant. We have recovered so many jerry cans and a starlet car they
used to convey the government owned fuel to the public.”
According to the source, all bad eggs would be dismissed from the Nigerian
Police Force.
The source
added: “The three policemen action is very shameful and they should serve as
examples to others. They are the bad eggs who used to tarnish the image of the
police and they will not go unpunished if they are found guilty."
