Police in Ogun State yesterday said they had rescued the
three-year-old girl who was kidnapped during a church service in Lagos
on Sunday.
The baby girl, Oluwabumi Ajelero, was abducted at the
Surulere Baptist Church, located at 52/54, Ojuelegba Road, Surulere,
Lagos. The abductors were said to have demanded a ransom of N300,000
from her parents. But in a statement issued in Abeokuta yesterday, the
state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed
that the three-year-old girl was found on Monday.
Adejobi said the girl was seen in a church at Oke-Sokori area of
Abeokuta. d over to the Juvenile and Women Centre of
the police for proper care.
