deceased. Ogunsanya, 34, was also shot to death. Police said that those who
killed Ogunsanya wore masks.
A police source said that the
deceased’s wife told investigators that the cult group had been on her
husband’s trail for some time. The grieving widow told the police that she and
her husband were living at Ogijo area before, but relocated to Odofunyan due to
the cultists’ threat to her husband’s life.
The widow added that when the cult
group came on that fateful day, they stormed into the house after breaking down
the gate. They sighted Ayodele and shot him point blank and then proceeded to
start hacking him with a machete.
The cult group stormed Olaleye
Street and Market Street and unleashed terror on the innocent residents. Residents,

The wife of Ogunsanya said that the
death of her husband was not clear to her as those who shot him to death were
all in masks.
She said: “When they came into our
apartment, they didn’t say a word. They came straight to my husband, dragged
him out the room and thereafter killed him. Before they killed him, my husband
tried to escape. He was overpowered. They ordered him to kneel down and killed
him. Immediately they killed him, they left without taking anything from our
home.”
