Freed from the clutches of Boko Haram: Small child destined to be trained to fight for Nigerian Islamists is among hundreds rescued after weeks in captivity

Cradled in loving arms, this helpless child may now have a future to speak of.
Weak from malnourishment and perhaps even abuse, the toddler is among dozens of children rescued from the clutches of Nigerian terror group Boko Haram.

In the last week alone, the Nigerian army has freed nearly 500 prisoners from the Sambisa Forest where the islamist militants are training child soldiers and forcing women to become sex slaves.
Pictures released today showed a group of women and children huddled together, fear etched on their faces, at a secret location after being plucked to safety.
