The Inspector-General of Police, IGP
MD Abubakar, CFR, NPM, mni, psc has today, 6th February, 2014
ordered the redeployment of twenty-three Commissioners of Police as well as thirteen
Deputy Commissioners of Police to various Commands and Formations across the
country.
The posting is part of strategic
efforts to reposition the Force for improved efficiency and better service
delivery. The IGP enjoins the affected Police Chiefs to step up the fight
against all forms of criminality in the country and equally ensure sustained
improvement of public safety in all facets of our national life. He appeals to
Nigerians from all walks of life to support the new Police Commissioners and
their lieutenants to enable them succeed in the discharge of their constitutional
and statutory mandate. The affected Officers are as shown in the table hereunder:
