Three brothers and 17 other people were killed while 500 houses were torched yesterday when gunmen
believed to be Fulani herdsmen invaded Logo Local Government Area, home
of Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam.
This occurred a few days after Suswam was defeated in the Senate race of the Benue North East Senatorial District to the incumbent Senator Barnabas Gemade.The gunmen attacked four villages – Kulungu, Tse Vir, Abuul and Tse Ageraga – all in Gaambe Tiev where dozens of people, mostly peasant farmers, were murdered.
