IGP IN COLOMBIA ON CONGRESS OF THE FIGHT AGAINST KIDNAPPING

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris  in continuation of his effort to bring an end to the menace of Kidnapping in Nigeria and as well strengthen International Cooperation between Nigeria and other Countries of the World in the fight against Kidnapping and other violent crimes is currently attending a three day seminar of the International Congress of the fight against the menace of kidnapping being held at Cartagena, Colombia from Monday, October 9, 2017 to Wednesday, 11th October, 2017.


The conference which is in the 2nd day now is to bring new impetus, ideas and experience into crime prevention and control strategies of the Nigeria Police Force in the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes in the country.

The Nigeria Police Force has recorded significant successes and achievements in the fight against Kidnapping and other violent crimes since the inception of the present Police Administration, under the leadership of Idris  the need to compare notes and share ideas and strategies with other Countries of the World informed the attendance of this year’s conference by the Inspector General of Police.

The outcome of the conference will be far-reaching and will definitely improve the capacity and capability of the Nigeria Police Force nationwide in preventing, detecting and reducing cases of kidnapping in Nigeria to the barest.
