Baby boy rescued from dump-site, dies

Hundreds of people gathered at the Agege-Ogba road, to day after a passerby sighted an abandoned baby and attempted to rescue it.

The baby boy was rescued, but when on looker broke into tears, when it breathed its last and died right there.
The baby was dumped at a dumpsite around Agege area of Lagos.

According to eyewitness account, the baby was found alive in garbage beneath the bridge at Yaya Abatan road, around Haruna bus stop along the Agege-Ogba road.

Although they could not ascertain who dumped him there, or when he was dumped, it was his weak cries, apparently for help and attention that drew the attention of the passersby.
The passerby jumped into the dumpster and rescued him, but he died minutes later.
