IGP AT JOS BOMB BLAST SCENE: Urges increased citizens’ vigilance, pledges to unmask perpetrators

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar on Wednesday, 21st May, 2014 visited the scene of Tuesday, 20th May, 2014 twin bomb blasts in Jos. 
The IGP, who was in the company of Heads of other protection agencies, called for calm and promised to stop at nothing in unmasking and bringing to book those behind the dastardly act. 

The blasts left a total of 75 persons dead (73 adults and 2 children) and 70 others with varying degrees of injuries.

The IGP commiserated with families and friends of the affected victims and called for increased vigilance amongst the populace in the fight against terrorism.  He appealed for useful information that could help in unmasking the authors and sponsors of the crime.
