Explosion rocks Jos again

Barely four days after a deadly explosion  that left no fewer than 150 people dead in Jos, Plateau State, another bomb explosion  rocked part of the city with unconfirmed casualty on Saturday.
Sunday Tribune learnt that the latest incident occurred at Angwan Rogo in Jos North Local Government area, a suburb settlement behind the University of Jos main campus at about 9:40 p.m.

A source close to the scene of the incident revealed that the multiple explosion occurred at television viewing centre  where the inhabitants of the area were watching European League final match between Real Madrid FC and Atletico Madrid FC.
Sunday Tribune learnt that the loud bang from the explosion was heard in virtually all parts of the city, thus causing tension and panic.

It was gathered that  there were heavy casualties and the explosion went off in different directions within the vicinity where the viewing centre is located. Those living in the area could not rush to the scene on time due to fear that a second bomb might go off.
Meanwhile, there was tension in the city as the news of the explosion went viral while people stayed indoor and made phone calls warning their loved ones to be vigilant.
All efforts to confirm the incident from both the Plateau State Police Command and the Special Task Force in charge of the security in the state proved abortive  as phone calls put through to them were not answered or returned.
As of the time of filing this report, the detail of the incident was still sketchy and the number of casualty unknown.
