The Public Relations Officer, Sheraton
Hotel and Towers, Mrs Emmanuela Okon, says the hotel had started
providing facilities to improve security surveillance to ensure the
safety of its guests.
Okon told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos that it
had become necessary to improve facilities and surveillance in the
hotel.
“The
management has trained and re-trained its members of staff and security
personnel for better service delivery and close watch of the
environment to ensure safety.
“Human and vehicular movements in and out of the hotels will be
strictly monitored by security personnel to ensure safety of guests in
the hotel,” Okon said.
She also said that Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras and other
security devices had been installed at strategic places in the hotel,
including car parks and lobbies.
“The security of lives and property of guests is paramount to the hotel.
“Adequate security measures are being put in place as we review and improve on security to protect our customers,” she said.
Okon said that the hotel had been maintaining standards and ensuring
safety of its customers and would continue to give better service to its
guests.
“The management has increased the number of its security personnel to forestall criminal activities.
“We do send our security team for in-house and outside training to
equip them to be able to tackle security challenges,” she said.
She explained that the management had put adequate security measures
in place to ensure that security men were educated and informed on
security threat and to raise their level of awareness.
Okon said that the organisation had been playing its role effectively in making the hotel safe and comfortable for customers.
