Owoseni

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, yesterday disclosed that the six students of the Lagos State Model School, Igbonla, Epe, who were abducted 55 days ago, are in good condition.

Owoseni, who made this disclosure yesterday while briefing journalists the police, headquarters on the latest information on the school children.
Owoseni, who hastily added that he wasn’t speaking because he had visited the children or seen them, stated that he was acting based on intelligence report.
Owoseni said: “We are doing everything possible to rescue the students from their abductors and reunite them with their parents. We’re also a parent and know what parents of the abducted students are going through. We’re not leaving any stone unturned to make sure that the students are rescued alive and reunited with their parents. We would continue to intensify efforts in order to rescue the children and bring the suspects to book.”
The school children, 55 days ago, were abducted by militant kidnappers, led by General America. This same General America was behind abduction of students and staff of the Nigerian Turkish College, Isheri.
Security experts and Nigerians are beginning to be frantic following America’s refusal to release the children even after allegedly collecting over N31million ransom.
It will be recalled that when he abducted the students and workers of the Nigerian Turkish College, he had released immediately he was paid the ransom.
The parents of the six students, on Monday, told our correspondent it was painful to have been apart from their children for almost two months now.
Last week, Owoseni, had pleaded with the kidnappers to release the children.
