Four arraigned for attacking, biting man

Four people, including a lady, were yesterday arraigned for allegedly attacking Nnadi Gift 26, and inflicting bite wounds on him.
The accused were arraigned by the police before Ogba Magistrate’s Court, Lagos State, for allegedly engaging in a
public brawl capable of causing breach of communal peace.
The accused persons are Omoh Edoboa (36), Edobor Imaralu (39) Ikechukwu Ruth (34) and the female, who resides at Papa Ashafa area of Agege in Lagos State.
The accused persons are standing trial on a six-count charge of physical combat, harm, fist blow, beating, bite and breach of peace.
The prosecutor, Inspector Eruada, said that the accused committed the offences on January 22nd at No. 24, Hassan Adejobi Street, Papa Ashafa, Agege in Lagos.
The prosecutor said the accused did engage in a physical combat in public place which caused bodily harm to one another.
Eruada further said: “Omoh Edoboa assaulted Nnadi Gift by biting him on his left shoulder, causing him bodily harm. Edobor Imaralu assaulted Nnadi Gift by punching him on his mouth. They conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.”
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 54, 173, 172, and 168 (d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Mrs. J.O. Anifowosho, granted them bail in the sum of N10,000 each with two sureties each in like sum. One of the sureties must be gainfully employed.
She adjourned the case till February 14 for mention.
