How sacked driver planned abduction of CEO, collected N9m

A sacked driver, Tekena Silva 26, is among six men arrested for the abduction of his former boss, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menakeb Limited, Chief Nemi Adoki.

Silva and other members of the gang identified as Justice Timothy 22, Akpos Livinus 33, Mr Daniel Allen 27, Mr
Kelvin Alpheus 30 and Mr. David Abak 29. Silva is the sacked driver of Adoki. He was the person that brought the kidnapping job to the gang and got N1m as his share.

They were arrested by detectives attached to the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr Abba Kyari.

The 61-year- old Adoki was abducted on December 15, 2017. One Mr Maikano Abdullahi was said to have been killed during the kidnapping of Adoki on that fateful day. The shooting and subsequent death of Abdullahi occurred at No.129 Victoria Street in Port Harcourt.
