Fans, artists, weep, pray after robbers' shooting of Alariwo

The fans of popular musician, Alariwo of Africa wept at the Ajegunle area of Lagos State, at the lastweekend after they heard that he had been shot by suspected armed robbers.
It was gathered that Alariwo who was supposed to be one of the guests at the birthday bash of a popular disc jockey and TV presenter, Ben Omage, popularly called Grand Master Lee (GML), on Friday was shot in the stomach in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
GET TV presenter, Grand Master Lee (GML) announced at Candlewood Hotel, Ugbenwankwo Street, Ajegunle, the venue of his party that his special guest artiste, Sunny Neji would not return to the event because he went to sympathize with his friend and music colleague, Alariwo who was shot few hours ago.

The musicians and mammoth crowd at the event was said to have screamed, praying that the victim survives the wound.
Alariwo was also one of those expected to grace the occasion with his friend, Sunny Neji.
A man who identified himself as Dapo disclosed that Neji was at Candlewood Hotel and had to leave immediately he heard that his friend was shot in Ibadan.
The special guest artiste, Neji left the hotel unceremoniously to see his wounded colleague.
Among the musicians who prayed for the survival of Alariwo are Solid Star, Jay dee, Paparella, Yellow Banton, Sunny Boy, 
Grand Master Lee said bullets were extracted from Alariwo's stomach in a hospital. He prayed that God should perform miracle in his (Alariwo's) life and keep him alive.
Some of the fans wept and cursed the perpetrators who wanted to snuff the life out of the victim.
One of them, Godwin Alexander asked: "Why anybody would shoot Alariwo? Is the person mad? Must they steal from somebody like Alariwo to survive?"
