Immigration fumes, recovers 191 PVC, 57 Temporary Voter's Cards from foreigners

Seizure of Voter’s and National Identity Cards
The Comptroller General of Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang,  has announced the seizure of some Voter’s and National Identity Cards from some foreigners in a renewed crackdown on irregular migrants across the country ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
 
The breakdown is as follows:
(a)          Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) recovered from irregular migrants….191
(b)          Temporary Voter’s Cards seized………………………………………………………….57
(c)           Old National Identity Cards recovered………………………………………………..367
(d)          Old Temporary ID Card slips recovered…………………………………………………11
(e)          New National Identity Cards………………………………………………………………..68

The above vital security documents were recovered in Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara states following an ongoing nation-wide mop-up operation against irregular migrants across the country ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
