Woman who got knocked off her scooter by car carries on checking social media on her phone while lying in the middle of the road

For most people who are involved in an accident, the last thing they would think of is logging onto social media while on the floor. 

However this is exactly what a woman in Jiangyou City, China's Sichuan province did on May 18, reports the People's Daily Online. 

People who watched the scene unfold thought the woman was about to call her loved ones; however instead she logged onto social media while lying in the middle of the street.

According to the report, the unidentified woman was riding her scooter when she was hit by a white car and fell to the ground.  

Pictures from the scene show she continued to lie on the floor blocking traffic while using her phone.

People's Daily Online reported that she was using WeChat, a Chinese social media app, at the time. 

The images were shared online on People's Daily's Weibo account on May 19.
