Police in Ondo State yesterday rescued the two reverend sisters kidnapped on Benin-Ijebu- Ode Expressway.

This came exactly a week after they were adopted on their way to a religious function. The reverend sisters, Apo Perpetual and Roseline Familade, were kidnapped last Sunday at Kajola village in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state when they were travelling to Ogun State for a religious programme.
The nuns were rescued by a team of police in the state and men of the intelligent squad sent from Abuja by the Inspector General of Police (IG), Solomon Arase, for the rescue mission. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Femi Joseph, who confirmed this, said the victims were hale and healthy.
