Policeman arrested for killing sergeant

A policeman attached to Ebonyi State command has been arrested in connection with the killing of a police sergeant along the Abakaliki/Enugu Expressway. 

The sergeant posted to the NNPC mega filing station in the state whose name was not disclosed by the command was killed on April 8, by armed bandits.
The victim was killed and his Ak-47 rifle taken away by the hoodlums. Speaking to reporters yesterday in his office, the state Police Public Relations Officer (ASP) George Okafor said other suspects were arrested in connection with the killing of the policeman.
‘’One of our colleagues was arrested today in connection with the killing of a police sergeant attached to the command. We are investigating the matter and we have arrested some persons apart from the policeman we earlier arrested in connection with the killing.
They are making useful contributions on our investigation. He dismissed the rumour making the round yesterday that a policeman killed his colleague, took his gun and gave it to hoodlums with the corpse of the deceased taken to the police.
