Supply of 26 cars: Fake custom officer dupes pastor N11m

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have a fake official of the Nigerian Customs service, for defrauding a pastor N11million.


The suspect, Iyoke Isaac was alleged to have obtained money under false pretence to the tune of N11, 549,330

Isaac was apprehended last week at Stanbic IBTC Bank,Upper Mission Road, Benin, Edo State. 

The commission’s operatives were said to have swung into action and carried out investigation after receiving complaint from Pastor Celestine Nwaokolo about Isaac criminal activities.

According to Nwaokolo, Isaac and some others posed as custom officials with cars to auction and defrauded him of the sum of N11, 549,330 for the supply of 26 cars. 

Isaac admitted receiving only N6, 646, 130.

A source said that Isaac would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
