A businessman, who was kidnapped by gunmen last week in Calabar,
Cross River State and released on Saturday after paying N5 million, has
died.
The businessman, whose name the family refused to give, reportedly
died on Monday night from injuries sustained while in the custody of his
abductors.
Until his death, he was the managing director and chief executive
officer of Daybreak Bakery Nigeria located on 23/26 Chamley Street,
Calabar. When our correspondent visited the premises of the bakery
yesterday, the place was under lock and key. Also, nobody was willing to
give the name of the man.
