A supposed female suicide bomber, Khadija Ibrahim, who ought to have
hit Kano Textile Kwari Market, fled with the suicide belt to the police.
Ibrahim was said to have been abducted by the terror group in Maiduguri
while on her way to the hospital. She reportedly became unconscious
after she was injected while the terrorists strapped the suicide belt on
her body.
The state Police Commissioner, Abbati Dikko, paraded the mother of
three before Governor Abdullahi Ganduje yesterday. Ibrahim was said to
have been abducted at a bus stop in Maiduguri. Ibrahim said she was
going to the hospital when some people stopped her, claiming they wanted
to give her a lift to the hospital.
According to her, she immediately lost consciousness after she was
injected until when she heard that the car they were riding in had
developed a problem. The woman also said she overheard one of her
captors say ‘have you injected her?’ According to her, that was when she
realised that she was in Kano.
