Man Sentenced for Cocaine Trafficking

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Gregory Miller, 48, of Buffalo, New York, who was convicted of conspiring to distribute cocaine, was sentenced to 18 months in prison by Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael L. McCabe, who handled the case, Miller was involved in drug trafficking in Cheektowaga and on Buffalo’s East Side. He was arrested along with nine others in June 2011. The defendant purchased cocaine from co-defendant Charles Palmer who allegedly stored and sold cocaine from an auto shop on Broadway Street in Sloan. Miller then sold cocaine to a network of customers in the City of Buffalo. Palmer is awaiting trial.
The plea is the culmination of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Christopher M. Piehota; the Buffalo Police Department, under the direction of Commissioner Daniel Derenda; and the Cheektowaga Police Department, under the direction of Chief David Zack.
