Police in Lagos State yesterday disclosed that shallow graves have
been discovered on the premises of the house where 28 people were
rescued last Friday.
The state Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, who
confirmed this, said some graves were also discovered in the swamp
behind the house.
On Friday, police swooped on the house of a self-acclaimed prophet,
Emmanuel Adeyemi, at Oyinbo Unity Estate, Olamidun Close, Yakoyo, Ojodu,
where they rescued 28 people, including 13 children and 15 adults, who
were chained up.
One of those rescued was Adeyemi’s teenage stepson, identified as
Toba Adedoyin. Owoseni said: “We had another tipoff that there were
people he buried in that compound and he confirmed it during
interrogation. “Because the area is swampy, the suspect had allegedly
buried some people in the swamp and about three others in the house.
“When we asked him of their identities, he said it was some of his
patients brought to his home from the hospital, after they were given up
for dead, that finally died in his care and were buried in the swamp.https://newtelegraphonline.com/chained-victims-shallow-graves-found-prophets-home/
