Jealous husband kills wife’s lover

A 32-year-old trader, Mr. Ezekiel Igbokwe, has allegedly killed a man, Mr. Victor Olatundun (38), for having an affair with his wife, Juliet.
The suspect allegedly committed the offence at Awa-Ijebu in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
He returned from a business trip to Anambra State and caught Olatundun making love to Juliet inside his matrimonial home. Igbokwe was arrested with his wife after he inflicted fatal machete cuts on Olatundun.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, disclosed this while parading 25 suspects, including the couple, at the police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta. Giving his account of the incident, Igbokwe, who hails from Ebonyi State, said he drew the machete because the deceased was physically stronger than him. The suspect, who disclosed that his marriage to Juliet was 11 years old, said his intention was never to kill his wife’s lover.
