I’ve been in this act for three years, says man who sodomised seven boys

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly having anal sex with seven teenager boys in Getagi village.

The suspect, Abdullahi Haruna from Nasko, in Magama Local Government, was alleged of having regular sexual intercourse with the seven

boys through their anus for long, who are between ages 10 and 15.

The victims, Bilyaminu 13, Umar 14, Murtala 14, Sale15, Usman 15, Mausur 14 and Shawilu 12, were alleged to have been drugged by the suspect before the act, so that they wouldn’t be able to reject his demand. 

Haruna, speaking in police custody, confessed to the crime.

His words: “I have been in this act for over three years. I cannot explain why I am still doing it, but one thing was certain, I knew that police would get me one day. I was arrested by a team of policemen attached to Nasko Police Station."

Further checks showed Haruna divorced his wife a long time ago and resorted to defiling little boys in Getagi village in Magama.

It was reliably gathered that the suspect, who also claimed to be an herbalist, usually administered dangerous concoction on his victims before having sex with them. He was alleged to be always in the company of teenage boys.  

When Haruna was asked what led him to get involved in sodomy, he replied: “I cannot remember why or how I got involved in the act. Honestly, I can't tell. But one thing I always remember was that since I divorced my wife, I have been doing it.  When these boys come to visit, I usually give them little gifts and then give them some herbs to take their bath with before the intercourse so that they wouldn’t say no to my demand. May God forgive me.”

The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muhammad Abubakar, disclosed that a team of policemen arrested Haruna after a tip-off.

Abubakar said: “The suspect originally is from Sabon-Gari-Katcha, in Katcha Local Government Area of the state, but resides in Nasko where he indulges in his evil act. He will be charged to court after conclusion of further investigations.”
