'Corrupt leaders should be imprisoned'

A security analyst, Mr. Folorunsho Atta, has kicked against the comment attributed to Nigeria First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan that she did not want to feed President Goodluck Jonathan in Prison.

According to the security analyst, if corrupt leaders were not held accountable for their sins and crime, the country would never be a better progress or be a better place for the citizens.
Atta who alleged that about N80 million was used to mobilise women from all 20 local government areas in Edo State, to meet with Dame Patience, said: “It was at one of such meetings with Ekiti women, that the First Lady said to the women that she was not ready to feed Jonathan in Prison. She also asked the women not to vote for people who would send their husband to prisons. The questions are; does she want crime and criminality to continue unabated? If people who commit crime are not punished in a country, what would happen to such a country? I’m calling on women to shun the N1000 they are being given. Their mothers in 1979 and 1983 also collected N5 and N10. All these led all of us to where we are today.”
