There was
confusion yesterday at Lekki Area of Lagos State, when two tankers
loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol
exploded at the Ascon fuel station.
Three persons escaped death by a whisker but sustained severe burns while attempting to put out the fire before the arrival of firefighters.
At least 10 vehicles got burnt in the incident. Most of the cars caught by the fire were on the queue waiting to buy fuel before the fire erupted. Some drivers were able to manoeuvre their way and escape with their vehicles.
