POLICE COMMENDS OFFICERS AND NIGERIANS FOR THEIR ORDERLY CONDUCT DURING POLLS

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba, has commended the entire officers and men of Nigeria Police for their professional conduct in the Presidential and National Assembly elections. 

He also appreciates the general public, most especially the electorate for their orderly conduct and commitment to tremendous peaceful atmosphere in which Presidential and National Assembly elections were held. He also thanked them for their unalloyed cooperation with law enforcement and security officers during the polls.

As the results are being awaited from INEC, the IGP cautions officers to remain vigilant, steadfast and firm. He advises peace loving citizens to go about their lawful businesses without fear, while warning would-be trouble makers to have a rethink.

The Police High Command also reassures the public of the commitment of the Force to adequate provision of round-the-clock security during and beyond election period.
